SANDOR TOTH - SAXOPHON

He graduated from the Jazz Department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and Arts in 1996. Over the course of his career, he has played with almost all of Hungary's leading jazz musicians, contributed to numerous jazz and pop albums, and regularly performs in clubs and at festivals.


From 1996 onward, Pege Aladár's Jazz Bass Quartet produced several CDs, toured and participated in numerous jazz festivals, began collaborating with funky and pop bands, and became a soloist with the reggae band Ladánybene 27. As a freelancer, he continuously participated in numerous theater, jazz, and other productions.


In May 2000, he founded the band Jazzpression with pianist Péter Sárik, which achieved unique popularity within the jazz genre. The band's first album won the eMeRTon Award from Hungarian Radio. By 2006, they had recorded two more albums and given numerous concerts at home and abroad.


He now works as a soloist with János Bródy, László Tolcsvay, the Quimby Band, Ádám Török, and many other Hungarian artists.


In 2010, his solo album "Playing My Own Stuff" was released, which he produced with György Szappanos (bass), János Nagy (piano), Kornél Mogyoró (drums), and Tibor Eichenger (guitar).


In 2011, he moved abroad, where he met many musicians and continuously developed his skills.


Since 2019, he has been a permanent guest musician with the Quimby Band, performs regularly with the Eichinger-Tóth Quartet, and has also founded the Proli Jazz Quartet.

NORBERT KEREK - KLAVIER

He began his music studies at the Pátzay János Music School in Gyöngyös.


In 2004, he graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with a degree in jazz piano.


He then began teaching at his former school, the Pátzay János Music School. During this time, he participated in various classical and jazz ensembles.


In 2011, he sailed abroad and was a member of the Azura Band of the P&O Cruises shipping company. In the following years, he played in various bands on many ships.


After returning home in 2014, he continued teaching at the Rácz Aladár Music School in Budapest, where he still works today.


In 2020, he founded the band Kiss +4, of which he is still a member.


He also plays regularly at the Mezzo Restaurant in Budapest and the Ózon Hotel in Mátraháza.


He will be featured on the album Vagy sehol (Nowhere) by Llaszló Kiss (founding member and former bassist of URH and Európa Kiadó), which will be released in 2022.

GYÖRGY FREY - BASS

He began his musical studies at the age of six.

He studied piano and clarinet.

In 1998, he graduated from the Jazz Department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, specializing in bass guitar.


In 1995, he began teaching bass guitar and orchestral practice at the Pomáz Music School. That same year, he and his friends founded the band Tax Free, with whom they recorded two albums of their own compositions. They performed in numerous clubs and festivals at home and abroad.


In 2001, he founded the band Freeport, whose first album was released in September 2003.


He has been a member of the Police Big Band since 2001.


From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the band Jazzpression, with whom he received the eMeRTon Award in the category "Jazz Ensemble of the Year" in 2004. After the band Jazzpression disbanded, he became a member of the Sárik Péter Trio, with whom he recorded two albums.


In 2009, he received the Artisjus Award in recognition of his musical activity and the presentation of contemporary music.


As a composer, arranger, and session musician, he has collaborated with numerous pop and jazz ensembles (János Bródy, Tamás Somló, Rapülők, Andrea Malek, Rudolf Tomsits, Trans-formation, etc.).


His first solo album was released in 2016, his second in 2018.

FLORA JOUBERT - SCHLAGZEUG

Starting in 2008, Flora studied for four years at the Kőbányai Music Studio with Gábor Németh. During this time, she played in many clubs and festivals as a member of the band Cherry Bomb. Through her, Flora met her future teacher and mentor, Péter Szendőfi, who referred her to the Kodolányi János College, where István Baló taught the core subjects alongside him.


At the end of her first year, she was invited by Yancha János Nagy—Erkel Prize-winning jazz pianist—to play drums in his band, New Brand.


In 2015, she won a scholarship for a four-week intensive course at the Collective School of Music in New York.


In 2016, Yancha invited her to join his own trio (Nagy János Trio, which also includes violinist Frankie Látó). With this formation, they performed in numerous clubs and festivals at home and abroad, and international musicians (Vincent Mascart, Dominique Dipiazza, Mike Stern) also contributed to their albums.


In 2019, Flora joined the Free Style Chamber Orchestra, whose founder and creator is also János Yancha Nagy, as a percussionist. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Vázsonyi Quartet, where János Nagy is also a keyboardist.


Since 2014, she has also worked under the direction of Mária Fekete (music director, university assistant, and university lecturer) on performances at various theaters (Karinthy Theater, Hungarian Theater, Central Theater, József Attila Theater, etc.).


Since 2013, she has been teaching at the Budapest Rock School under the direction of Péter Sóder Vajda.


In 2022, she completed a one-year sound program at Kodolányi János University.

She currently provides rhythm for several bands: Nagy János Trio, FSCO, Vázsonyi Quartet, NinShar Crescendo of the Sacred, and Proli Jazz Quartet.

Over the years, she has played backup for InLine Band, Mrs.Colombo, Góbé, Köztársaság Bandája, and Zanzibár.
